Moment spent alone which I enjoyed... Hobey! I'm back again! Greetings again for the oh-I'm-too-lazy-to-count time. It's yet another day. How many times I have tried describing school, I have long lost count... Sigh... I mean, you can't blame me, considering the constant bombarding of class tests, supplementary lessons, homework, homework, and more homework... oh and the additional choir practices aren't helping either. All these things added up together can only lead to one thing: stress. Sometimes I just wish the teachers could give us a break from homework for us to actually sit down and digest the information that's been forced into our poor brains. However, at least I have one sanctuary besides my mind, which is books. Isn't it awesome that there is actually something such as books to occupy my time completely relaxed and you can be alone? There was a moment that I had enjoyed alone by myself just now, as I slumped down onto my favourite armchair and read the book, Ranger's Apprentice: Halt's Peril. I probably have mentioned before that I have an extreme interest in reading english storybooks. Yes, and that's what I wanna talk about today. I originally wanted to talk about the Pendragon series, but apparently my friend Soo Han has already written about it, so I shan't talk about that. I wanted to share with you all the harry potter series, but apparently it's too famous and doesn't need my reviews to let itself get sold to people. So I shall share with you all another series I have enjoyed a lot too, the Ranger's Apprentice series. here's a brief summary of the series: The series follows the adventures of Will, an orphan who is taken as an apprentice Ranger, as he strives to keep the Kingdom of Araluen safe from invaders, traitors, and threats. He is joined on his adventures by his mentor Halt and his best friend Horace. I know... The summary sounds kind of lame and all, but seriously, trust me, this is one of the best series of books I've ever read. I'm not actually like forcing you to read this series, I'm just sharing to you my pleasure in reading all this stuff. Yep honestly I just happened to randomly pick up the first book, The Ruins Of Gorlan on the shelves of Times Bookstore, found it nice, and asked Mother to buy it for me. Awesome, that's what it is... Okay, that aside, I want to end this now once and for all. Don't worry, I'm not going to close down this blog now, but I want to bring you all back to the day I wrote my post on Friday, January 14, 2011. If you all remember, I said that this blog was mostly for the CA1 grading, but today, however, marks the end of this journey. I have endured countless failures in this time frame, but I am proud to say that I have settled them all and pulled through all my difficulties until I arrive at this final conclusion of the fact that I have successfully finished writing 5 blog entries, and rather long ones they are... Anyways, as today marks the supposed end of this assignment, I shall say this again. Whatever lies in store for me, whatever fate has planned, I shall be ready, to face the ultimate showdown once and for all, whatever it is. Be sure that I shall not falter, for this will determine the fate of my life, your life, and all of halla, humanity, or insanity. Because this truly is the way it was meant to be. And so we go. Forever and Always, Shawn Ho. 8:30 AM
Something that took place in school... Hobey! Welcome back to my blog, faithful readers... Anyways, today I want to share with you guys about the choir practice I had in school just now. It is Saturday, and the Secondary Ones are here! Turns out although there are still quite a number of sec 1s, there are still some missing, but I shall not say too much, as they were as I was last year when I first joined choir. They do not understand and fully grasp the stakes yet, but we can't blame them. Anyways, I've just got over the change of calling myself a secondary two, as before this, about last week, I still feel a little perked up and alert whenever the sec 1s are addressed. But no worries, because I've gotten over that. Now, these 'angelic' sec1s come in, naive and innocent looking, it really makes me think of how I was last year. Not that I was naive or innocent looking, but instances like this does bring back great memories. Now I wish I had fully appreciated my secondary 1 life and the great many opportunities presented to me. To think of that, it really makes me wonder what wonderful luck has shone upon me. Let's just recapitulate. Last year, when I first joined choir, everything was about our oncoming concert, Rhapsody. We as sec 1s put Rhapsody as a very important event and thought that it was probably the most important task ever. when that was achieved, there came Taiwan trip, Orientale Concentus. That was a competition held in Taiwan. I went on the first ever trip overseas without my parents. It was one of the most exciting trips I have ever had and I enjoyed thoroughly. We got gold. After that, the inaugural Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore. Let me tell you. We sang the National Anthem and sung it well. But above all that, the sheer pride of standing there on stage singing in front of the world's live broadcast, that is certainly something worthwhile. These three events all happened in my secondary 1 life, just because I decided to write the word 'choir' on my CCA option form. These three events were the three most important undertakings in my life. Besides those there were still minor events like VS Open House, Sec 1 orientation day, stuff like that. Let's face it. Not all sec 1s get to enjoy this kind of sec 1 life. I'm glad I made good use of it. Just now, as I stood in Soprano section, looking at the newly arrived secondary 1s, I felt a sense of pride as a senior. I'm not boasting or anything, but I felt that after all I had gone through in sec 1, the struggle to balance CCA and school work, I was able to make it this far. I was happy. As I looked at the faces of the sec 1s as they struggled to follow the vast and sometimes complicated series of warm ups, I thought of myself last year, remembering that I had used to wonder how the senior standing beside me could project so much, blast so loud, yet still be able to keep pitching properly. Thus I set my target to one day reach that standard. I am more or less there, I guess... Oh great, now I'm getting all sentimental with all this nostalgia, so I shall maintain my composure, and look towards the future. However, I shall still keep that small part of sentimentality and nostalgia and memories tucked in the back of my mind, never to be forgotten, never, ever, to be touched, forever and always, because this is the way it was meant to be. And so we go. Forever and always, Shawn Ho. 6:14 AM

Hi. Hobey, whoever you are there! Welcome back to my blog. At last I have found some time to write posts on my blog, I hope you readers are still sane, yes? Awesome, now, you see it's getting increasingly hard to find stuff to write about given the relatively small amount of homework that's given to us during school. Nah don't get me wrong... more like the constant bombarding of extensive high time and brain juice consuming homework mercilessly showered onto our heads, eh? You guys agree? Well if you don't agree, you're one of these three things: 1.A Teacher's Pet. 2.A workaholic. 3.An absolute mugger. Hmm, those are pretty good options huh? Anyways, away from all the insults, this is what I want to share with you all. Did I tell you guys about OPW? It stands for online project work, for those who don't know. Now up to this point most of you who haven't heard of this would most probably be thinking along the lines of like: Oh you're so lucky! Oh doing online work is soooo fun! Oh you must be having sooooo much fun! Oh that's a fun and interactive way of spending your secondary 2 life! (Oh, oh, oh, this is random, but I happen to be listening to Oh! by SNSD now, but that has no link, so...) Well, you guys know what? You're all WRONG! Oh, and I forgot to mention. Some of you might be like hey you can use facebook while doing that! -.- Like okay... Screw that... Back to the main point. Um yep OPW just so happened to look cool at first, I admit we all thought that. However, however, however, such a great disappointment. OPW stands for online project work. Yay! The topic is 'My Dream Learning Place'. Um what? uhhuh... zzzzz... =D Right? Never mind... So there went the explanation. turns out we have to actually write out an entire report on an improvement of any part of the school as it is now. Then after that we have to construct a full 3D model of the entire 'dream learning place'. How's that? just now back in school, we had our first lesson in the computer lab on using Google sketchup. Sure, the software was awesome and everything, and if anything it was cool. you get to move stuff around from all sorts of directions, and create indents and humps just by holding down your mouse and moving it around. Then hey presto! Poof! There's your 3D model. Yep. Besides that, we also received our class T-Shirt today. I found mine especially nice, because well, it had my name on it, which was awesome enough, but besides that my number was eleven, anther awesome number, not only because it's my index number, but also because it has two 1s on it. so it sort of has two strokes down under the awesome name Shawn. I found the front rather um... i dunno though... Okay, I gotta go now. I'll write as soon as I can, so until then... Stay sane. And so we go. Forever and always, Shawn Ho. 4:56 AM

The beginning. Wotcher, whoever you are there... Well, I guess I just must say it, so welcome back to my blog. Yes, it's been a long while since I last wrote on this blog. No, I haven't forgotten about this blog. So well, hobey-ho, let's go. I'm going to write about something very interesting that happened in school yesterday that completely lit up our mathematics lesson. Now, if you've read any of my other classmates' blog you would probably see the same story because, well, we are in the same class. Obviously... Anyways, during our Mathematics lesson in school, which was the first period, we had a surprise visitor which just so happened to decide to come light up our day, by flying into our classroom. Yes, don't go rubbing your eyes, I did indeed mean to say that our wonderful visitor flew into our classroom. well, for those of you who at this point of time find yourselves thinking of superman, a piece of suggestion: quit reading comics. It's interfering with your common sense. Well, no, it is not spiderman, or batman, or green lantern, or... or... never mind, you get the point... Fine the oh-so-mysterious visitor I am referring to is... The Bird. Not a bird, but The Bird. I have developed newfound respect for it. Well, our Bird flew through the window, not the door. Strange, isn't it, that the bird seemed to do about the same thing a human might do, that is, do some impressive acrobatics to impress people. I mean, who knows, it might be trying to impress its girlfriend. It started chirping melodiously, and apparently our mathematics teacher gave up trying to get our attention directed back to her over our fascination at The Bird. Then I was telling my friend Soo Han, "This bird could make our conductor pee in his pants by singing soprano. It'll make the Choral Federation of the World look like amateurs." Such was the excellence of The Bird. Then its mating call got answered, for out of the blue, behold, The Second Bird. Well, at the sight of The Second Bird, The Bird flew eagerly and gracefully to the window, chirping faster as it came closer. awestruck by the sheer aura of The Bird, The Second Bird almost fainted, but regained balance in the end. Instead it flew away again. When it came back, the oh-so-excited awesome class of 2D started cheering. Almost immediately The Second Bird flew away. Touched by the sheer romance of the two Birds, our kind-hearted Mathematics teacher tried to keep us quiet. In the end some of us took pictures of the Birds together, and managed to get a good picture of them, before The Bird eventually flew out to join its new friend. Ahhh. That's a nice bird Romeo and Juliet, except with a happy ending. What? Oh oops Mother's calling... Well, I've got to go now, so I'll write as soon as I can. This is the way it was meant to be. And so we go. Forever and Always, Shawn. 5:03 AM

Something that took place in school... Wotcher! Whoever you are reading this, I hope you're in the right state of mind to read this blog, because this certainly isn't some kind of fantasy, it is really, well, for those of you who actually read the title and had enough sense to place the pieces of information together under simple circumstances, you would realise that this blog post is indeed about something that took place in school. Now like wow that is boring huh? Well, if you have read all my previous posts you would undoubtedly realise that my blog posts are not entirely boring, in my opinion, as will this too. So here goes... Today is Saturday, which is an eventful day to me, as it always is because, well, it is probably the only day we get to go to school, yet not study. Yep, you guessed it, it is indeed, when we go to school for CCA practice, for me, choir. We had PT this morning, which supposedly stands for physical exercise. Now unless you are in VS Choir, when you hear these two words 'physical exercise' you might be thinking oh wow you do all sorts of hardcore exercise like a hundred pull-ups, a hundred sit-ups, two hundred push-ups, 22 rounds around the school, stuff like that. You know what? No. We play sports and games. A lot of good that has done us too, taking into account the close teamwork we have as a choir. All the more, it is undoubtedly fun for us, so no complaints whatsoever. Anyways today we played Captains' Ball. For those of you who do not know the game, go to my friend Soo Han's blog. There's an explanation there. Fort those of you who actually did not change site to Soo Han's blog, thank you for your loyalty to me. I shall not forget it. Now as a token of appreciation I shall explain the game briefly to you. Captains' Ball is a game played by two teams opposing each other, whose captains stand on a raised platform(in our case a chair) and try to grab the ball from his or here teammates in order to score points for his or her team, whose team members are supposed to stop moving once holding the ball and pass the ball to one another. Fun huh? The thing is the team I was in, Dennis, Jun Hong, and Clarence's team, usually won as it was Alto's natural sport, and that they made an exception for me as I was willing to join them. Well, the other team sort of cheated, as they had an ex-secondary 4 senior, to come back and be on their team, and I shan't elaborate much on him, as it will do nothing but make me feel worse. He is, well, on my terms, tall. If you know how my height, for me to call someone tall, that really means something. Anyways he sort of blocked almost every single ball that came to our captain, thus allowing very little chance for goals. The only thing that happened to be standing in their way was the sheer determination and teamwork of the Altos, and the maddened frenzy of whacks I delivered as defence. In the end we still lost by one point, but we found that it was not important who actually wins or lose, it is how we play the game. Sound familiar? Anyways, even though we lost, we had fun and enjoyed the game. After that we had choir practice, which was really nothing special, we revised through the same songs again... Anyways I gotta go now, I'll write as soon as I can. And so we go. Forever and always, Shawn. 8:30 AM

Sigh... =D Hobey! Welcome back to my blog. For those of you who don't know, today marks the end of all the playing around with my blog. No, I ain't gonna close it down this soon, but tomorrow marks the beginning of the 50% of CA1 grading from my blog. Tomorrow is the epic showdown. Tomorrow, tomorrow is the turning point. Tomorrow I'm gonna do some serious work. But before I once again dwelve into the future, I must, once again, return to the past. One last time. I created this blog at first, to try out what it felt like having a blog, and because I was told that it will mark that fifty percent of a test. A test that will try the very cores of my being right till the end. I would say that I succeed mostly for the creation of this. There are, definitely loop-holes in this blog, I shan't deny it. However, I have tried to make them right. Therefore I end up where I am here. Whatever happens next, I cannot predict. Whatever fate has installed for me, I have not the slightest inkling of an idea. But I know I shall be ready. For me, for everyone, and for all humanity, or insanity. This is Shawn Ho, signing off. And so we go. Forever and Always, Shawn Ho. 5:14 AM

Today in school nothing much happened, but today choir prac was transferred to tomorrow, Friday... >.< Just when I thought I had everything figured out and settled I arranged my tuitions on Wednesday and Friday, only to hear that future choir practices may all be on Friday instead of Thursday. How nice of them. I certainly hope that the rumours of that are false. Okay bye! seeya! And so we go. Forever and Always, Shawn. 4:33 AM
